Privacy Policy

ParamountSTOCKS Privacy Policy · Version 1.2 · effective October 11, 2026

This policy explains what personal information ParamountSTOCKS collects when you visit our website or use the members' apps, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run your account and keep the Platform safe. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

YOUR INFORMATION

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

The ParamountSTOCKS website and apps are operated by ParamountSTOCKS Inc., Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (“ParamountSTOCKS”, “we”, “us” or “our”). This Privacy Policy covers the ParamountSTOCKS website (paramountstocks.com), the members' apps (the Practice Portfolio, Live Chart, Technical Monitoring, the Option Market Scanner, News Analysis / Calendar, Forex & Bonds, SEC Quarterly Trends, the Stochastic Strategy scanner, the Pattern Engine and the mobile app) and the Contact page (together, the “Platform”). It forms part of our Terms of Use and Risk Disclosure.

We are responsible for the personal information we collect. Questions and requests about it go to our privacy contact through the Contact page at paramountstocks.com/contact (section 11).

2. What we collect

Information you give us:

(a) Account details: your first and last name and your e-mail address, entered when you create an account. Your password is handled by Wix, which provides our member accounts and sign-in; it goes from your browser straight to Wix, and we never receive or store it. Wix gives us a member ID for your account and tells us whether the account is pending, approved or blocked; our administrators approve, block and unblock accounts through Wix.

(b) Your signature of the Terms of Use: the full name you type, the version of the Terms you accepted, a fingerprint of the exact text you saw, the confirmations you ticked, the date and time, your IP address and your browser type.

(c) What you save in the apps: watchlists, ticker lists and scans, chart layouts, drawings and settings, saved strategy runs, alert rules, practice orders and the practice account's history, the holdings you choose to enter in Positions (ticker, number of shares and cost), the trades and notes you record in the Live Chart's journal, your display preferences, and whether you turned on the evening watchlist e-mail and which watchlists it covers.

(d) Messages you send us through the Contact page or by e-mail: your name, e-mail address, the type of inquiry and the message; and feedback you send from the apps: the message, its kind (a problem, an idea, a question), the app it concerns, the page you were on and your browser type.

(e) Anything you tell us about how you use the Platform, for example that you use it for a business or are registered with a securities regulator (the Terms ask you to tell us).

Information collected automatically:

(f) Activity records: each sign-in (including attempts while an account is pending or blocked), sign-out, app opening, practice-account reset, acceptance or refusal of the Terms, and each time you turn the evening watchlist e-mail on or off or change its watchlists (with the consent wording you agreed to), with the date and time, your IP address and your browser type.

(g) Technical information about your visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages and data you request and when, and the cookies described in section 4. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs of requests for a short time.

(h) The e-mails we send you (the evening watchlist e-mail, and service e-mails such as the answer to a request for an app): the date, the kind, the subject, whether each was sent and delivered, the delivery service's message number and, for the evening e-mail, the trading day and the number of tickers in it.

Information about your access:

(i) Which apps your account can open and until when, the requests you make for an app and the answers, whether your access was suspended, and notes our administrators keep about your account (for example why access was suspended). Each change an administrator makes is an activity record that names the administrator.

What we do not collect: payment details (the beta is free); government identification; brokerage account credentials (the Platform never connects to a broker); precise location; your contacts, photos or files. The mobile app is a web page: it does not install anything on your phone and does not use your phone's permissions.

3. Why we use it

We use personal information only to:

(a) create, review and approve your account, decide which apps it can open and for how long, sign you in, and keep you signed in;

(b) keep the items you save in the apps and show them to you when you return, and, if you turn it on, send you the evening watchlist e-mail about the watchlists you choose;

(c) protect the Platform and its members: detect abuse, shared accounts, automated access and unusual use, enforce usage limits and investigate security incidents;

(d) keep evidence of your agreement to the Terms of Use and of how the Platform was used, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims;

(e) answer your messages, feedback and requests, and tell you about changes to the Platform, the Terms or this policy;

(f) understand how the Platform is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it; and

(g) meet legal obligations, including those of our market-data licences (for example, reporting how many members receive a provider's data, and whether they are professional or non-professional users).

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to profile you for marketing. Your watchlists, practice trades and holdings are used only to provide the apps to you (and the evening watchlist e-mail, if you turn it on); we do not use them to make recommendations to you or to anyone else. Account approval is done by a person, not by an automated decision.

4. Cookies and browser storage

The apps use four cookies, all set by us and all needed for the Platform to work; none of them is used for advertising or to track you on other sites:

(a) pstocks_session: keeps you signed in. It expires after 12 hours or when you sign out, and it cannot be read by scripts.

(b) pstocks_signin: ties a sign-in that is in progress to the browser that started it. It lasts 30 minutes.

(c) pstocks_presign: after you sign the Terms while creating an account, links that signature to your first sign-in in the same browser. It lasts up to 60 days.

(d) pstocks_view: remembers that you chose the desktop version on a phone or tablet. It lasts one year.

The apps also keep display settings (for example your chart layout, the last tab you used, the practice screen you were on) in your browser's local storage, on your device only. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

The website is built on Wix, which sets its own cookies to run the site (for example for sign-in and security) and gives us visitor statistics in aggregate; Wix's cookie notice and privacy policy describe them. Google's reCAPTCHA, used on the create-account step to confirm that sign-ups come from people, and Google Fonts, which our pages load, are provided by Google under its own privacy policy: your browser contacts Google's servers to load them, which lets Google see your IP address.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers that run parts of the Platform for us, each for its own service and under its own terms and privacy policy:

(a) Wix (Wix.com Ltd.): hosts the website, provides member accounts, sign-in and password handling, and receives messages sent through the Contact page.

(b) Our cloud hosting provider (currently Railway): runs the apps' server and stores the apps' database, including your saved items and the records described above.

(c) Google: provides reCAPTCHA on the create-account step and the fonts our pages use.

(d) Our e-mail delivery provider (currently Resend): when we e-mail you (the evening watchlist e-mail, if you turn it on, and service e-mails such as the answer to a request for an app), it receives your e-mail address and the content of each e-mail, delivers it and tells us whether it was delivered.

The market-data, news, economic-calendar, exchange-rate and company-filings sources that feed the apps receive requests from our server for the tickers members look up, not from your browser, and we do not send them your name, e-mail address or account details. Requests to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's EDGAR system identify ParamountSTOCKS with our own contact address, as the SEC requires, not you. If a market-data licence requires us to report how many members receive a provider's data or whether they are professional users, we report counts or categories, not names, unless the licence requires a name and we have told you so.

We may also disclose personal information when the law requires it (for example a court order or a regulator's request), to protect the rights, safety or property of ParamountSTOCKS, our members or others, or, with notice to you, to a successor if the business is reorganized, merged or sold. We never sell it.

6. Where it is kept

Our service providers may store and process personal information outside Canada, including in the United States: Wix on its own servers, and our hosting provider in the region where the apps' server runs, and our e-mail delivery provider on its own servers. Information held outside Canada is subject to the laws of that country, and its courts, police and authorities may be able to access it under those laws. We choose providers that commit to protecting the information they process for us.

7. How long we keep it

(a) Account details and the items you save in the apps: for as long as your account exists. When your account is closed, we delete them within thirty days, except as described below.

(b) Sign-in sessions: until they expire or you sign out.

(c) Your signature of the Terms, the activity records and the practice account's transaction history: these are written to a tamper-evident log that cannot be edited, as evidence of our agreement and of how the Platform was used. We keep them for as long as a claim about your use of the Platform could be brought under the laws that apply, and we review them after that.

(d) Messages sent through the Contact page and feedback sent from the apps: for as long as needed to answer them and keep a record of our correspondence.

(e) Server logs kept by our hosting provider: a short time, set by the provider.

(f) Records of the e-mails we sent you, and of your access to the apps and your requests for them: for as long as your account exists. Your choices to turn the evening e-mail on or off, your requests and our administrators' changes to your access are activity records, kept as described in (c).

8. How we protect it

The Platform is served over HTTPS only. Sign-in cookies cannot be read by scripts, session identifiers are stored hashed, and passwords never reach our server. The apps' code is served only to signed-in members, member data is kept separately for each member, and only the operator's administrators can see member records and the items members save, to run the Platform, answer requests (including a request to see your information, section 9), support members and keep the Platform secure. No system is completely secure: if we learn of a breach of security safeguards that creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires. Tell us promptly through the Contact page if you think your account has been used without your permission.

9. Your choices and rights

You can see and change most of what you save in the apps yourself, and turn the evening watchlist e-mail on or off at any time in your e-mail settings or with the link in every e-mail. Through the Contact page, you can also ask us to: show you the personal information we hold about you; correct it; delete it or close your account (we will delete what section 7 does not require us to keep); or stop using it for a purpose that depends on your consent, in which case we may no longer be able to provide the Platform to you. We will confirm that a request comes from the e-mail address on your account before acting on it, and we answer within thirty days unless the law allows longer.

You may also complain to us, and to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the privacy regulator where you live. Where the law where you live gives you additional rights, you can exercise them through the Contact page.

10. Children

The Platform is for adults: you must be at least 18 and have reached the age of majority where you live. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger, and we close the account and delete the information when we learn that we have.

11. Changes and contact

We may change this policy as the Platform changes. Each version shows its number and effective date, and the current version is always available at the Privacy page of the apps and on our website. We will tell you about a material change in the apps or by e-mail before it takes effect.

Questions, requests and complaints about personal information: use the Contact page at paramountstocks.com/contact, marking your message “Privacy”. Our privacy contact is the operator of ParamountSTOCKS.
